    Hi guys and girls!

Bob's just brough me a cold frame in the B&Q sale and I was just wondering if it is worthwhile putting up now or later and if so what can put in it now?

    Thanks in advance

Helen. Put it up now and put anything in which is small enough and frost prone. It is just a mini-greenhouse that you can't heat because it is small and would get too warm.

Change of subject. £1 each at Bridlington market (the big one on the left £2.50 at Scarborough market. Eat your heart out B & Q.:-

John you are a right b**ger always rubbing my nose in with all your bargains....I really have not a hope in hell of beating you...well maybe with a stick! :D

John there was even a cold frame heater on offer too but I thought don't need one as I have my lovely new heater for the greenhouse just waiting for Bob to get round to doing the base for me.

Newbie not at all copy at your delight that's what gardening is all about, sharing ideas and pointing out whats on offer and as you might have guessed by now just like John (Sarraceniac) I do like a great bargain but John always seems to beat me the little devil! :D

You just have to be careful Newbie you might see some more bargains there and spent more than you intend to...Good luck and try not to give in to all those bargains addiction is not very nice but a great garden is! [IMG]

No no Cajary. The bench was Ã?£1.05p and the Edwardian cast iron and marble table (with hand painted periwinkles) free.(I borrowed it from a neighbour and it is too heavy for them to lift back.) [IMG] :D

Finally put the cold frame altogether yesterday, we had a right fun time trying to put it up in the garden with the wind blowing a mini gale!

Hi John of course you can have a photo but I'll have to keep you waiting a little longer yet [IMG] as I'm going to the movies yet again within the hour!

I'll try and sort one out for later.

I know what you mean about making it. Though we made ours indoors and that was troublesome enough. :D

Well my new cold frame has had a right hammering today. I am so glad i got it this weekend. I only got the cheapo one though helen. Initially Ã?£20 (half price). Didn't have the posh one you got [IMG] .

I was so waterlogged when i went to work this morning, but its all fine now. Its really bizzare though in the cold frame, the floor is damp and so is the plants (slightly), but there seems more growth. Really seems bizzare to me.

You'll be telling trees continue growing after you cut them down next. :D

Glad you got one Newbie it really doesn't matter how much it costs as long as it does the job!

I went to another massive B&Q and was amazed that they had the same stuff as the I one I normally use but no sale..... everything was priced as normal!

I told Bob I do hope Newbie gets a coldframe for a good price otherwise my name's gonna be mud!

Fun to build wasn't it [IMG]

My only thing though is the lids dont stay up, so i'm going to put some nails in the fence to latch the arms onto. [IMG]

Nice cold frame Helen. I am up every morning by 6. Admitted I then go back at 7 for another 8 hours, [IMG] but Ed likes to check the garden out at first light or before. I wonder what he finds to do? I do know I have to clean it up. [IMG] :D
