Hi GSM, I cut mine last week and I live in the country. I posted a picture of it on page 6 of "the last cut?" under "Lawns". I haven't cut any of the other lawns yet as I haven't had time.
Shiney, that is a wonderful looking lawn considering the time of year. It just shows what CAN be acheived . Would you mind if I used your photo for my own purposes. I can't offer you fame and fortune but I will be eternally grateful. :D
GSM, you are welcome to use it but it is an optical illusion :D At least 40% of it is moss or weeds. I have lived here over 35 years and never raked, aerated or put chemicals (or anything else) on the lawn. I use a Hayter 56 rotary mower and, in the fast growing season, mow it on the one from lowest setting approx twice a week. Other times I mow it on whatever setting seems right for the conditions. Last week it was two up from the lowest setting (so I call it number 3 ) and the mower has 9 settings. In other words, there has been no special care taken of it but that shouldn't stop you from using it as an example of a well kept lawn :D
Sorry about that GSM :eek: There's still no reason why you can't use it. It is part of the advertising industry to use pictures as examples as long as they don't claim specifically that what they are showing is what they have done or their product has done. So you can say something like "You can have a lawn that looks like this if you use....." . I used to do adverts for hair product manufacturers but my models had never used the products that they were advertising.
