Comic Sans erased...

I love comic sans!

I made an enormous error the other day when I deleted the contents of our recycling bin, I inadvertantly erased my beloved comic sans ability.

There were lots of funny looking icons in the bin - it wasn't 'til later when my son shrieked "You didn't empty the recycling bin - did you" that the horrible truth emerged...(something about creating new fonts for us - but no idea why that meant delivering c.s. to the bin!) Like I should have known or something!!!

Anyway - my question is, can I restore it (and if so, how?). (Have tried googling, but only come up with "I hate comic sans" and other such unworthies.

This 'tahoma's' not so bad, but I do miss my comic sans! (can't even get my fix of it on here now.)

(Oh woe...)

 

do you mean you deleted the font file? if thats the case i can pm you a link to download them

Umm...I think so!

It isn't in my font drop down list atall, and when I try to change to it on here, I can't.

(I don't know much about this - can you tell?:o)

I've uploaded comic sans here (http://rapidshare.com/files/126620253/Comic_sans.zip) if you just download them and extract the archive and then copy them over too the fonts folder in the windows folder and then just restart the computer...If that makes sense

 

Ohhh Thankyou, and sorry - because I think this may be a slow process...

I have downloaded the file (thankyou again) and found the 'extract files' button, and clicked it and went through the stages, but didn't manage to put it in the fonts folder in the windows folder bit. They seemed to want to go somewhere all of their own accord! Not sure where that was, but will restart my computer, and see if anything happens...

Back in a mo.

erm...lol ok can you re extract them? maybe to the desktop? (that would be quicker/easier...)

Just had to restart again - windows had to shut down due to an error - probably something to do with weight of search task!!!

I tried using your link again, but it's not working for me now.

 

It's working again, done it again, but cannily copied where it's going to this time: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\KV5UDME6\Comic_sans[1] (it didn't like when i typed 'desktop' into the box).

OK, lets see what happens next...

 

Aha - I managed to send them to my desktop...

 

...now looking for windows folder
