    Hello all,

I hope you dont mind me posting, I'm just after a little advice. My husband and I are absolutely hopeless at gardening, and our garden (ashamed as I am to admit it!) generally is in a right state! We have tried over the last couple of years to improve it, but it constantly taken over by weeds. We have a section thats is stoned, we put lining underneath before we put them down, but it doesnt appear to help. I would like to put the stones around the border but next door's (from each side) weeds and hedges grow through, as well as the weeds so I'm reluctant!

Basically I am throwing myself on the mercy of people who actually have a clue!! Please help!!

(PS Nothing too complicated, haha, when I say NOVICE, what I really mean is IDIOT!! )

The reason that they're weeds is that their survival instinct is strongest.
      What weeds do you have?

Weeds seeds that land on top will germinate. The lining should sort out most perennial weeds underneath, but not all.

Where in the UK are you?
