    Hi

Can anyone recommend a good compost to use in pots? I am a novice to gardening and am planting some pots but don't really know which compost is best to use, any ideas?

    Thanks

    Laura

Laurar I would suggest a peat based compost which has John Innes No3 added to it. It`s perfect for container growing.:thumb:

I use the B&Q general Multi. Seems O.K for most things but you might need something different if you're planting trees (Cherry, Apple, etc.):)

I just use multicompost and sand often with garden soil added - which is not far off what David said. Pure compost can get a bit soggy.
