Hello fellow gardeners. I am just wondering if there are any plants that don't like home made compost?
Can you just throw your own compost round any plants or hedges??

Noob question, but I want to make sure it's not going to do my plants harm.

Provided it is well rotted down then just about all plants will love it. Avoid using it on veg root crops like carrots if it is not well rotted.

Also if it's not well rotted you might find lots of weed seeds growing in it. For that reason I tend to bury my poorer home made compost 12" down in my veg plot.
