Hi all, not a question this time but a little bit about my compost.

I have 3 compost bins on the go and after 2 years my first one was full of lovely dark compost ready for me to use. I mulched plants, topped up pots, and planted on a few plants. All very exciting. And now a few weeks later, I'm picking unidentified seedlings out of everywhere I used the compost!? I mixed some of this compost in with seed compost and it's turned into a nightmare trying to distinguish the seeds I have planted from the seeds obviously in the compost!

Are there any lessons to be learned here?

Yes don't put seeding weeds in your compost, home compost bins don't heat up enough to kill seeds.

Blimey, it never occurred to me not to put seeding weeds in the compost bin. I've just been throwing everything in! Live and learn, thanks Jazz.
