    Took your advice and watered my compost , looks a lot better must have redoced by a third.
    I put on average 10 to 12 Tbags in my bin per day, i was recently told to be careful as it might turn the soil acidy , we have a little pot on the draining board where we put the spent Tbags but we also split them first.
    I find this hard as i keep 15to20 sacks of leaves from the autumn and add at regular intervals along with every thing else .
    Q is this person haveing me on

    No they're not but you would have to add a *huge* amount of tea bags to turn the whole pile of compost acidic. Carry on adding them, it will be fine. I add similar amounts (as well as spent coffee grounds) to mine if it puts your mind at rest.

    cheers Andy it's always best to find out for sure,i do drink a lot of tea and 70to80 bags a week soon mounts up thats why i was a bit sceptical .
    I it was'nt for PG/SPECKLED HEN &GOOD MALT what would would i do in the evenings

    Hello!!

    Is it true that urine is good for compost too? Although it doesn't sound very nice!!:hehe:
