Composter to rid slugs

Do people find that once they get a compost bin all their slugs head over to it and start leaving their plants alone? Or is it just me

 

Must just be you!! My compost bin is full of slugs but my flower beds are too! Millions of the b****rs too this year. Must be all the rain.

 

Slugs don't obey rules just because you supply them with a nice warm place to breed will not answer your slug problem, it just provides them with a launch pad from which to coduct their nefarious activities.
