    can i use pressure treated timber to build a compost bin?

    I would think thats fine

    At the allotment I made one from old pallets and it lasted a good few years [​IMG]

    Cant see why not darren, perhaps the organic growers might not like the idea, I dont know?
    I wouldn't think the preservative would have much effect on the compost.
    I made one out of moisture resistant MDF back in 1989 and its still there, dont look too good now though. :D

    Ours was made out of pressure treated logs 10 years ago, had no problems. Go for it.
