    Hi everyone.

I have many acers, young and old and I've had this particular one for several years. I believed the label without question but its not behaving as the plant on the label suggests it should.
It's labelled as an Emerald Lace, however, it's not weeping or turning red in Autumn.
For the first few years I assumed it was just too young. It's almost 20240601_142812.jpg 20240601_142954.jpg 4ft tall, in excellent health and loves the position it's in.
I cannot find another Acer that looks like it. I have 2 Acer Seiryu, but the leaves and stems are different colours to this mystery one, so I'm sure it's not a Seiryu.

Can anyone help with an ID please?
    Thank you

I bought a small Emerald Lace last week and yours in colour and leaf structure it doesn't look that different, the only difference I can see is yours doesn't have the evenness the mature leaves display. The overall leaf shape seems a bit stunted in comparison.

It looks the same as one of the ones I bought as emerald lace from homebase a few years ago. I have a couple of more mature ones and they have the classic weeping shape which formed when the whippy growth thickened and bent down.
