Hi not sure if I’ve posted this in the correct section as this is my first post but I’ve a conifer in a pot at my front door and it’s looking a little faded/going grey ish in places any ideas what the problem is or is this a natural thing after winter.? 447A0ACA-8994-47E7-8EA5-18C278F9637C.jpeg

It does look a bit bleached in colour , are you in a cold windy area ?

These cypress goldcrest can be quite fickle I see quite a lot of die back for now obvious reason .

Yes the wind does get to the conifers in the pots at my front door although only one conifer seems to get affected as this has happened before and I had one die off and then purchased 2 new ones but the same has happened, when it’s really windy I put them on the door step out of the wind. I did read about putting liquid seaweed on it to try and rescue it.??

You may be best to repot your trees in a rich, sandy(free draining) and slightly acidic soil.If they are allowed to grow taller, increase the pot size to counterbalance. They will enjoy a sunny aspect, not north facing.

I have a similar conifer which goes brown every year. I keep thinking it is dying and it keeps coming back and surprising me.
