conker crazy

I have 12 conker trees in a row. I can cope with the leaves with an IBEA vac
but it wont pick up the conkers. Has anyone any ideas as to which reasonably priced vacuum will do the job?

 

Try using a rake! Seriously, I have the same problem although I only have 5 of the blighters to contend with. Can't be bothered with all these modern fangled gadgets, a bit of gentle raking gets them up in no time (it helps to keep the grass short as well)

 

My mower picks them up, however id sudgest a billy goat vac or similar, possibly hire one conkers being only a seasonal thing.

 

Amanita, Sign of the times I know, but at one time you would have had young school boys begging you to let them come and collect them for you. How times change.:D 02

 

Thanks for your input good people - raking is not really an option - billy goats are only as good as I'm using already - the best suggestion yet is to put a vac/blower in blow mode and blow the things in to a corner where you have prepared a cardboard ramp up to a barrow and blow them straight in ( tape some sides on the ramp) that one came from a canadian gent from another forum
