I'm considering Roses but haven't got a clue really apart that they need pruning and due to disease can be high maintenance

Is there a climbing or rambling rose that would go against the house, ideally I would like to plant it between the front door and lounge window, then train it to go under the lounge window and up and over the porch! But have a problem that this wall is north facing so doesn't get the sun...

The other area, is out the back, I'm rethinking my planting of the raised bed I created with the redesign of the back garden... Again I'd want either a rambling or climbing Rose or two to cover the fencing.... So would appreciate some suggestions of Roses that might fit my remit as follows

    Colour
not overly fussed about colour, but something that will blend in with an array of colours, as do have a lot of various container's...

    Looks,

As long as possible flowering season, high flowerage, used to have a lovely rambling rose might have been a dog rose type! at one property and it covered the fence, flowered from early spring to well into the autumn/winter... And absolutely covered in flowers..

    Smell

This part is important to me, I really want a good perfumed rose,

    Maintenance

As disease free as possible, maintenance wise easy on the pruning etc..

I could probably fit in the back garden, several down the fence, and out the front again, if it takes a couple to cover tp do what I envisage then that's fine....

So is there any rose's out there that would fit the bill.

    Any help would be appreciated

Now that's got me thinking.... Does it or doesn't it, I think that it get's a very small amount cross half of the front early morning but by 10, 11 o'clock its in the shade..

next door is privately rented, and previous tenant did put roses in, planted them in autumn, but moved out before spring new tenants ripped them out!

But I checked out the ones you've suggested look very interesting indeed
