I'd like the macro comp to continue?/re-commence (which is why I asked), but what changes are you thinking of? [1] Once again, I previously got really fed up with dates/deadlines/etc. being changed (as with other comps) and gave up on it.


[1] it could, perhaps be broadened to included other macro stuff, such as fungi

I just edited my post above to add a footnote that 'macro' could also include Fungi, but there are perhaps many other nature/gardening related subjects that could be included such as Spiders (as they aren't insects), Invertebrates, Arthropods, Molluscs, Lichens, etc., but strictly macro shots, not the likes of telephoto pics of birds as have been recently been submitted (but not deleted) from the macro comp thread.

Interesting that this has occurred during the running of this thread.

Just for the record: I have a point and shoot digital camera - it doesn't take any kind of additional lens, telescopic of otherwise - nor do I recall posting in that thread. Nor do I see the reason as simply "M" being quite ... user friendly?



I shall ensure that I do not post in it again to avoid any further requirements for deletion.

I did point out to the new member that birds weren't permitted in the Macro competition but the member has not removed the post. I don't think it was a macro shot either.
