Anyone else have the same "problem" as me or is it my age?

When I look at the forum list, I find it hard to distinguish between a forum with no new posts and a forum with new posts. A forum with no new posts the "coloured speech bubble" is pale in colour (Colour depends on which theme you are using) but when a forum has a new post the speech bubble goes darker, but here in is my problem, when it goes darker, its not really that much darker, so its hard to tell if a new post has been made or not.

Could the forum be tweaked a little bit to make the darker much darker, or perhaps change colour? You know like links in some forums do.

    eg, as we have now.

Unread link to a forum read link to a forum
(These really are two different colours)

    a suggestion:

Unread link to a forum read link to a forum

It took me a while to see what you are getting at watergarden and yes it is difficult for me to see the difference between the speech bubble colours. In fact I hadn't realised that was a way of checking for new posts.

I have been using the "What's New" button to get the list of forums that I haven't read, then click on the little blue button on each one to go to the latest unread post.

I also just discovered the "Spy" button to see whats going on in real time, that's fine if you are constantly logged in and watching, but no good if you leave it and come back a few minutes later as the activity has scrolled off the bottom.

I suppose it depends how you use the forum. But using it your way is tricky because the colour contrast is not helpful.
