I think it can only be reopened by the other person as long as they haven't left the conversation Jiffy.:)

My understanding is that Leaving a Conversation can be done in 2 ways, by selecting one of the 2 options offered:

      1) Accept future messages, which is a 'soft delete' meaning any remaining participants can give you the option of restoring it with new 'PMs'/Conversations.

      or

      2) Ignore future messages, which is 'hard delete' and it's gone forever.

The old format we had, a couple of years ago, only allowed 50 PM's and them it came up with a report saying you need to clear some out before starting a new one.

The current format seems to allow any amount but I seem to remember that when we first changed format the limit was 500.

I've never thought of 'leaving' a conversation. When it it's over I just stop using it.

Do they get "purged" at some point Richard?

Thinking back to the old PM system: I used to go through my In and Out box lists occasionally and delete the ones no longer of interest.

Some very old ones got kept because they contained useful info.

I'd hate to lose those old ones due to a "Purge everything older than XXX" type process.

I'd be happy to "Leave" conversations if that helps the housekeeping routine to then delete them, and thus reclaim the space, once they become "dormant"
