I have had one of these in my bed for nearly two years, last year it struggled on gamely but this year it was looking v sick. So I have lifted it and potted it up to see if it will recover. Basically it seemed to be dying off, no leaf fall but looking quite droopy. When I lifted it there was just one mass of root ball, presumably inhabiting the area of the original pot (incidently it wasn't pot bound when I planted it) with very few roots going into the surrounding soil. Anyone got any clues for me? It is quite heavy clay soil with a ph of about 7.5 -7.8 I also think that the position catches the wind but then does most of the garden

    Hi Antheus

My convululus cneorum started looking really sick last year, so I watered it with Seasol (liquid seaweed) solution for a few weeks and it perked up quite fast. (This won't solve its current problem - half of it was knocked away by an errant football. So brittle!)
I know it doesn't care for wet feet though, so it may well be the clay.

Yeah I think it is the clay. I don't think it liked the frosts and wind much either :(
