    Greeting Fellow Forum Friends... :gnthb:

I've recently been on the look out for a really good recipe book, which is based on using herbs in cooking.

Any recommendations (with ISBN number(s)) from experts out there will be very much appreciated.

    With sincere regards,

You could try a different approach, look for a book on herbs and you'll often find recipes for their uses in it.

Of course you could also just experiment. I don't like recipe books because I never have all of the ingredients for a given recipe, and I always feel like I'm expected to follow the recipe to the letter.

You could also just ask on here what people do with their herbs.

Apart from experimenting, my favourite technique is if I eat out and enjoy something, my taste buds tell me whats in there in roughly what measure, so I try to recreate it at home.

I have this book and it's fantastic.

Herb and Spice: A Cook's Reference: Amazon.co.uk: Dk: Books

It details every herb and spice you are likely to come across.
It goes into varieties, growing hints, buying tips, cooking suggestions, storing etc.
It also has some good recipes, and herb and spice mixes, rubs and marinades and the such.
Well worth the money for such inspiration !

@ Clueless - good point(s) and thanks for the 'different' idea. :gnthb:

@ All - either my or Clueless' approach are most welcome. :)

@ muddy - many thanks for your suggestion. :gnthb: A very useful option when I look through the pages (isn't the net just amazing).

    I'll bear it in mind.

    Sincerely yours,
