Has anyone experience of growing gooseberries, redcurrants, white currants, blackcurrants, and blackberries. on cordons. It seems that this would allow me to plant more bushes, and with a greater variety, than if I went by the normal figures usually quoted (5ft spacing).

This sounded ideal as I only have a small area of garden (130” x 152”) for fruit and allowing 5ft planting distance would mean only four bushes. With the cordon system, I’ve seen planting distances quoted in a row of 15”.
