I bought one from B&Q a few months back, between the cats chewing and clawing the leaves and the dry heat from the central heating(i think) its looking like its on its last legs :cry3: but today i noticed it has put up new shoots?pups?
Can i seperate these now incase the plant finally keels over?
I have moved it to the bathroom(2wk ago) but its still not looking any healthier :cry3: Thanks xx

Even if the plant keels over, the pups will keep on growing... leave it all as it is.. it doesn't really matter if the main plant goes. The fact is that if it's pupping, the main head has been damaged, and its responding to it by sending up pups.. the roots are therefore healthy. The plant can tolerate frost, so as long as it doesn't go below -5C it should be ok outside. Treat as a variegated or red Cordyline.

I agree, its not a house plant and is showing that in the fact it's not happy.
Cool conditions with good light would be the best winter treatment.

I'd leave it alone, water sparingly and hope things pick up once the days get longer and things warm up a bit.

Joolz, it would be better off in the greenhouse I suspect. :)

I grow pink passion outside in a pot. It hates over watering and best in sheltered spot I think. Away from west Cornwall I think it will need winter protection. Lovely plant though
