We planted Cornus mas over 5 years ago. The first year no flowers and then each year more produced. This year it is covered in flowers. Will we get any fruit as it flowers so early?
Anybody else had success with this Cornus?

We had fruit on ours at our old place, but it did take a few years to get mature enough. They are rather tasteless though.

I’ve never heard of them being grown for their fruit. They are usually extolled for their early flowering and shape so as an ornamental tree rather than productive

Perhaps best for the birds :) They are always hungry. This year they ate all our pyrocantha in december already.
