I am having a large palm tree and it's root removed at the end of this month. I want to save the dwarf cosmos plants which are currently planted around its base and then replace them once the palm is removed. The cosmos are now flowering. Is this possible and will they survive the two moves?

If you must move them you can only try to save them, no guarantees, dig them up and into a pot, really cosset them , fresh compost, well watered, shady, until ready to replant, then into their new spot, in hot dry weather I like to fill the hole with water before I put the plant into it`s new position, water in well so it has every chance, then cross your fingers.:dunno:

They'll survive but won't be happy about it and prob shorter lived.
