cost of top soil and aggregates

hi all, well in my mind my garden is going great guns . sadly the reality is far from it......

but I have made a start. I went today to a local aggregate supplier to see how much stuff costs but i dont know if the prices are ok or not. so..........

screened top soil£42 per bulk bag delivered (just under a tonne)
sharp sand -£35 per bulk bag
cotswold gravel £65 per bulk bag

all these inc vat.

 

That seems about right.

Might be worth sticking a wanted on Freecycle first.

There's some going free on Gumtree, but its mostly collect yourself.

yes thats the trouble. !! I have to get it delivered . a friend of mine has horses and said i could have as much poo as I wanted but strangley no one wants to take me!!!
