:gnthb: It was such a beautiful afternoon here I went for a late walk & caught the sunset as I walked round the west side of the village... I always think the church tower looks lovely with that orange glow..

The sun dips out of sight now & then but the hill top ridge I think, makes a good shot..

    Trees make such good silhouettes...

Up near the top & the sun pops up again..

It seemed like I was chasing the sun at one point.. Only in the winter can I take shots like this...

Last glimps for a few minutes as my walk takes me out of sight for a few minutes..

When the sun is this low at this time of year this window glows like a huge orange fire the whole room lights up with it... Sadly I couldn't get round there in time, all was left was this shot by then....

Just image those last few rays reflected there, all over that window & so bright it hurts your eyes... Fabulous.. Will try another day for that shot..

    Sun is setting....

I love the oranges, purples & blues you get at this time of the year.... Almost gone..

    Gone.....

The colour fades to show off the trees again..

This is a large Rookery & they are settling down for the night now as the last of the colour drains from the sky...

Well that was my walk this afternoon.. I hope you enjoyed...:D

:) To see the sunset here at this time of year, we take a walk around what is locally called "Round the World" ..! It is all across farmland on footpaths & bridleways with a short stretch on the road... A lovely walk... I took a very late one this week & got some superb shots...! Some superb skys with this cold snap.!:gnthb::D Hope you enjoy & don't fall asleep.!:D
We walk through a beautiful garden as well & it's all public footpath..!

    This is the garden's pond.!

A magical walk to me... You can get the sunset's reflections in the cloud over the eastern hill..

.The church in the reflected light..

Looking back to the sunset from the bottom of the hill.. Going......!

    Going.....

Gone...!! From the bottom of the hill..!

As you walk up to the church the sunset's reflected colours are pretty spectacular & the camera doesn't do it justice, even in close up..!!

There are some wicked Victorian chimney pots on this house & in this light are story book stuff I think..!!

Only in Winter when the sun is this low in the sky do we get these colours & cloud formations with the cold air.... Magic to me..!!:D

Lust a lucky shot of cloud & a Rose bush stump..!!

The moon & church & the last colours, again only in winter..

    :thmb: Hope you enjoyed..

Oh, these are even more stunning and breathtaking, Marley .... I just love the wicked chimney one. :gnthb:

How fortunate to have such beautiful colours in the sky and to be able to capture them to look at again and again ... perhaps on a grey day. :)
