    Hello,
I have just seen an offer on a dwarf Crape Myrtle Berry Dazzle but I don't know anything about this plant. Is it OK to plant it in a large pot in a garden in Manchester? Is it difficult to take care of it? Is it supposed to flower June - September? I am very tempted to buy it from Gardening Express.
What is your knowledgeable opinion, dear fellow-gardeners?

    Lagerstroemia I presume?
Not tried that one but grew from seed a long time ago a strain called little chief, was supposed to be dwarf.
I cut it back every year but its still 10ft high.

Pretty hardy but needs a hot sunny position to do well, mine flowers pretty late in bad summers.
This year, in flower now and getting totally ruined by the gales.

Very convincing 'easy to grow' description by the supplier but it depends on your locaton whether it will grow and flower well. Worth a put but it would need a south facing sheltered position.

I grew Little Chief many years ago but in Dorset, not enough sun or warmth to get it to flower at all well.

Thank you for the information. Gardening Express say that Berry Dazzle grows up to 1m 20 cm.

It would probably stay small in a pot.
