That's extraordinary Ivory - well spotted. It could be very interesting if it really does work. I think I will try some of it on myself during the winter. :D

Mh... and you will be supposed to spray all your tender plants with that? I don't think it's really practicable.... and I wonder how that would affect the health of the plant in the long run... altough there is no visible damage the plant might suffer from the cold anyway

I'm not sure if that site is a windup or not, however Ivory, I have bookmarked it, as it's really interesting.:thumb:

I think that if it works at all it could be interesting for hardy plants that can suffer from early or late frosts rather than for tender plants. I am not sure I wd jump into it without more information (and testing) but it is intriguing.

I would maybe use it on flowers etc, but certainly not on edible products at this point.

Protecting the roots is not a problem if you mulch. I am thinking of plants like hydrangeas, they are bone hardy, but will lose a season of flower if the TIP of the green buds is damaged in spring. I am not saying this thing is true, just saying that it could be interesting if it is. It will not make malaysian orchids thrive in scotland , but it MAY give some more margin to already hardy plants.

To be honest? I just erect an Eden Project sized bubble over my house and garden during the cold spells.

I got it on the cheap from the guys that built the new Wembley Stadium. It was left over material from the roof.

Of course it was my latino friend. The English humour is the best, and after your pebble joke last night you qualify as the first Italian I have met who is funny. Not that you get that many of them in Bolton
