Welcome to GC 1uk3y. I don't think it's a tree but some sort of climber. Please could you provide us with a close up of the leaves as it's difficult to identify it from your current picture. :)

HI Sheal, thanks for responding! I moved into a new-build house and the sales centre opposite my home was being dismantled so they asked neighbours if we wanted any of the established plants and trees - this was one of the plants I picked as i just liked the look of it although I have no idea what it is!! Ive planted it in the corner of my garden and its started to perk up but I'd like to know more about it.

Ive attached a close up pic. :)

I can't help feeling you've got two different plants there. The lower one has greener leaves that are a slightly different shape to the rest. Sorry, I can't identify it/them but hopefully @Silver surfer who I've tagged will be able to help you out, she has a great plant knowledge. :)

It looks like Forsythia, 1uk3y. If you Google for that and select images, you'll find one photo that's almost identical:)

Thanks :) it does indeed look like this - It really does seem to be taking nicely in my garden so hopefully it will look fab when it develops some colour!
