    By digging in plenty of organic matter and improving the soil may help to reduce this weed.

    Thanks for the replies and apologies for not replying earlier.... I couldn't find my post!!

    I was thinking of scraping off the top 1/2" (12mm) or so and then adding well rotted manure, would that be OK?
