Had to take a picture of this, five blokes, two pickups and a tractor chipper to make this mess!

They couldnt even be botherd to spread the chippings not to mention the standard of pruning or the ivy thats been left.

The eleagnus would have grown back well had it been cut to 8" from the ground but leaving it a waist height will look awfull when it reegrows

If I`d left a job like that I would be ashamed to call myself a professional, That is a disgrace. [IMG]

Its sad that some folk will have that view from their house and even worse that we pay for it with our council rates.

Sometimes council gardeners are just carrying out orders from above, sometimes they use their own interpretation, whatever this lot were told it IS a disgrace. I know our gardeners couldn't get away with that sloppy kind of work.

Infuriates me watching them "cut" the grass over the way on the council bungalows, they are provided with blowers to gather up the grass and end up blowing it back on the grass they have just cut, consequently the first windy day it's all over the show, lazy gits.

Disagree there John. Navvies built the canal system. And if you look at the canals you will see that they were built with precision and skill. [IMG]

I used to work for our local council a good few years ago in Landscape and I can tell you it is the same everywhere. The old saying is how many council workers does it take to plant a shrub?????? Four! One to plant it and three to watch how it's done.

Just a little bit more hard work and placing the chiping in the right place how much nicer it would have looked.
