    Lovely pictures Pip.

It's a shame we don't hear or see cuckoo's here anymore. I don't think I've heard one since my childhood...........many moons ago.

Thanks Sheal, like you I haven't heard a cuckoo in England for years. These birds in Spain were very noisy and elusive. spent 5 days just hoping for a decent shot.

Well 'spotted' pip, I have yet to see one or a Black Wheatear.
Where abouts in Spain were you?

H i Strongy, we were in Los Gallardos near Mojacar in Almeria region. The Wheatear was snapped from the top of Mojacar Pueblo, as you can see it was quite a way from the camera. The cuckoo was in pine woods near Vera, lot of them about but you couldn't see them until they moved. Very noisy too.

I haven't been to Almeria (yet!) I'm wondering what I'll see in Morocco in August, not the best time for Birding and we won't be in one place for long, (Everybody back on the coach!!)
