does anyone know if there are female and male flowers for courgettes? Do you have to remove the male ones - like you do for cucumbers?

    Thanks Deli

    Welcome Deli

Yes, there are male and female flowers. The males have long thin stems and the females have short thicker stems that turn into the courgette.

We have been growing them sucessfully for donkeys years and never bothered to remove the male flowers but don't know what is the correct thing to do.
