Hi, I'm new around here ans I'm afraid my first contribution is looking for help! I've grown courgettes for the last couple of years but this is my first time from seed. They're starting to get bigger now (ready to repot) but the main leaves are turning brown and crispy pretty quickly, see picture below. I had this problem late on in the growing season last year and put it down to the biggest leaves just being old and chopped them off when they died and that seemed to work. It seems very early this year though, are they deficient in something?

Mine are doing something similar. As are other seedlings. Last year I was brand new at this and it seemed easier that this year.

    Welcome to Gardeners Corner :sign0016:

Could be sun damage, about the right time to harden them off and get them in the ground :)

They look a bit overwatered, going by the leaf on the bottom right - is the compost all soggy?

      Hi Chill

I would cut off all the affected leaves, they are never going to get better.
Repot them now, feed and water........Also protect them from wind.

Thanks for the replies everyone, they're in the greenhouse at the moment and I have been watering them a lot but they always seem pretty dry, I read somewhere that under watering might be the problem! I'll cut the affected leaves, repot, feed and see how they go. Hopefully it will be well and I'll aclimatise them then stick them in the plot!
