Hi everyone I've been growing my own vegetables for about four years now and courgettes have always been my easiest/ most productive plants. However, this year I think I planted them out too early (late April/ early May) because they just began to look really scorched and then died :cry3:I ordered four plants from an organic nursery (8 ball, parador soleil, romanesco and a squash sunburst) They are very healthy and a good size, would it be ok to put them directly into the ground at this stage? Also could I plant them in the same place I removed the dead plants from? Or is there any possibility they had a disease of some sort? Any advice welcome.

Should be ok now FS, with the weather set to get warmer. Lots of things been suffering with the drought and also the wind recently.

My first lot failed, got some more coming up which will go out soon.

Up till now I thinks it has been a bit too cold at night for courgettes, mine are waiting to get planted outside which hopefully will be this weekend. You'll find that later planted ones will overtake earlier ones that have suffered with the cold.
