Hey there, I was wondering can anyone give an indicator of when manure is rotted through enough.
I got a tonne of manure from a kind farmer. I've recently dug some new veg and fruit bush patches from land that was covered in grass. I have tried to incorporate the manure quite well, but there is a lot of straw that is not rotting down that well. Is it okay to plant my fruit bushes ? The bushes are goji berry plants and many of them are about 20-40 cm high.

Manure is ready when you can't see any of the original stuff, it should resemble a dark crumbly material. If you can still see straw in it then its not ready.
