Just wondering why there is a lot of emphasis on airing your lawn etc when cricket pitch greens are rolled every week or so and look immaculate? There is probably a simple answer :D

Cricket picthes are also hollowcored in the autumn, seeded with very fine grades of ryegrass and regularly fed with soluble iron and other feeds. With profeshional qulity pitches the soil layers will also have been corected / desighned ie no clay pan.

im afraid a cricket pitch or tennis court is different from an everyday lawn.
