I have a darker side to my plot in Glasgow and was wondering if anyone knew anything about this shrub as it apparently likes a lot of shade. I saw it on tv and thought it looked great.

Does anyone know where I could buy it online?

I grow it in shade sawfish, but it likes dampness as well, always gets red spider mite with me but manages to survive.
Get pretty big after a few years but you can prune after flowering.

It may do better up here, Pete - since it's an acid lover. Might not be so prone to pests, etc. [IMG]

    Yeah, I think it will.
Its not really a suitable plant down here, exept in the western areas, saw some as big as trees at Heligan.
But I dont let a little thing like that stop me. :D

I used to be a housekeeper on the 'bonny banks of Loch Lomond', and in the garden there was a Crinodendron at least 30'high...first time I had ever seen one, and thought it was lovely! There was another in the village but only about 10'high.
