I like the choker in the second picture. Even as a man I can appreciate the work involved

I've picked up the knitting needles again now that the nights are drawing in and I've planted most of my bulbs for next Spring. I've just finished a cardi and am currently knitting legwarmers (see separate thread). There is a wool shop locally, but it sells very uninspiring stuff, so I get most of mine on line these days.

Hi Skotkat, I am another knitter here. I have a pic somewhere of some of my knitting.
    I love the choker :gnthb:
I don't seem to get the time to do much [ I have a cardi type garment I started last year and need to get cracking on with! It's so relaxing isn't it?

I expect you know there are some super knitting sites that have free patterns to use? I joined ravelry and love just looking through all the patterns.
    Hi Tiarella :)

Hi Jazmine :) Somebody else recommended Ravelry too, so I'll have to have a looksy.
I only do knitting in the winter, because of it getting dark so early. The cardi I just finished was started off about this time last year!! I got the buttons for it yesterday and sewed them on this morning - I shall be wearing it this weekend. I'm on my second leg-warmer now and then I'll do a few small projects like that whilst I decide on my next "biggy".

Hi Tiarella, you have to wait a few days once you apply to join Ravelry, my invite only took about 3 days.
I knitted a scarf and mittens with love Autumnal coloured wool. As you said it is more of a winter hobby. :)

Oooooooooooh, very nice winter warmers there, I love the Autumn colours too. I've now joined Ravelry - what a lost of stuff to trawl through, that should keep me quiet for a while.
There isn't a knitting group anywhere around here, so I'm thinking of starting one up myself, along "Stitch and Bitch" lines.
