    I've just read some very bad gardening news in an article in the Amateur Gardening Magazine, about the Horticultural Channel.:cry3: After just four episodes it has been withdrawn due to lack of sponsorship.:mad::rolleyespink:
    It will continue on the website, YouTube and Itunes but that's it. The Producer, Sean James Cameron, says he still hopes to return the channel onto TV in Spring 2012.

    Why?, Oh Why?, can't we get sponsorship for gardening programs?:scratch: It's a huge market for advertising with very little competition from other gardening programs, and yet we don't seem to be able to get the quantity and quality of gardening series that we want and need.:wallbang: Or am I wrong:what::what::gaagh:

      As I see it.... How many people watch this channel? No big numbers...No sponsors!

      :scratch:

      Actually, Grumpy, if you take a gander at the Threads regarding the need for more gardening programs you might just change your thoughts on that:D

      Where I live real gardeners are rare.
      Oh yes you get the enthusiastic ones each spring but by mid summer most are more interested in going on holiday.:WINK1:

      Hi everyone, Sean here from The Horticultural Channel. Yes, the article is correct that we need sponsorship but I'd like to set the record straight and say that the next show will be on this coming Sunday at 9am.

      Our article: TV show to continue on Sky/Freesat

      I would appreciate your help in letting as many people as possible know that we haven't finished broadcast and are still alive and kicking, but searching for a Sponsor or Advertising.

      Thank you all for your support.

        Hi Sean, thanks for the news regarding the program being shown this coming Sunday.:thumbsup:

        I wish you luck with the sponsorship and success with the program. I'm sure there are many people on Gardeners Corner who will also wish you the same.:happydance::D

        I watch it when the kids are at school on planner. I love it, like having a cuppa with a small group of gardeners. I always learn something!

        I agree with you, Victoria:thumbsup::D

        I just can't understand why when somebody like Sean can't get the sponsorship when the market seems right for him to succeed:dunno:

        He must feel he is:wallbang:

        I don't see anyone from the Gardeners World production team active in threads about that program on the forums ... yet Sean has taken the time and trouble to be active on all the forums I view. I wish him the best of luck.
