I've been given a Crown of Thorns plant that is covered with flowers but only a few leaves. Although the flowers look nice it looks quite bare with mainly thorny stems, any tips on how to encourage more leaves?

Hello Victoria, what a lovely plant.

Mine must be a different type as it is basically just stems with lethal spines on:wallbanging: The flowers all seem to be on the tips then tiny little leaves form around the flowers then die back.

When does it lose its leaves i.e. winter or summer?

@zilly. Mine lives outside my kitchen door (It is in the pot my avatar Van is sitting next to. I do not get frost here but can dip to 3-4c for a couple of days in January. I don't have any leaves on mine in the winter and looks like a spikey horror!. Did you read the Wiki link I posted?
