This is more a malt loaf recipe, but it tastes fab, and it gets better with keeping for a few days before eating!

    1/2 pint All Bran
    1/2 pint Brown Sugar
    1/2 pint Sultanas

Soak the above in half pint of cold English Tea for a minimum of 1 hour, preferably for a minimum of 3 hours. You can soak overnight.

Add 1/2 pint Self Raising Flour and mix well.

Then put the mix into a 2lb loaf tin, bake in a pre-heated oven on Gas Mark 3 (or electric equivelant), for 1-11/2 hours, or until pricked with a skewer and the skewer comes out clear.

I make this all the time, and I prefer it to 'shop bought' malt loaf now!

I make it for my Friends and Family, and some enjoy with butter on, others, like me like it without.

    Hope this Helps!
