Hi, were new to the forum and have a question about cucumbers.

We have 2 cucumber plants, one of which is too small to have flowers on yet, but the second one was bought as a plant (I believe it is a cucumber but my other half has doubts) and my question is are the flowers on it male or female or is it still too early to tell??

    Many Thanks,

    Lisa + Jon

Hiya Lisa and Jon, your other half is right, dont look like a cucumber to me, more like a marrow/corgette plant.
It will grow best outside, and the flowers are males, they usually take a bit longer before producing females.
Bot male and females should be left on.
