I have just bought a packet of cucumber seeds, which contains SIX of the precious seeds for a total of £ 3.45.

They better produce some excellent cucumbers!

That looks VERY expensive, Miraflores. What variety of cucumber are they. I bought a new (to me) variety to try - Cucumber Lemon - which do small, round, yellow cucumbers for outdoor growing. They were 50p for a decent amount from Alan Roman. Looking forward to trying them.

I'm not up with the price of cues seed these days but I do know that F1 hybrid seed has always been expensive.

here is how the packet looks:

I have bought it in Woolworths never imagining it would be this price or I would have refused tu buy it!
On the packet it says "CUCUMBER "Petita F1" -BITTER-FREE MINI FRUIT.
And it says also: "Average contents 5 seeds": so I am actually lucky to have got 6 seeds for only
    0.57p each !!!

Not supprised MF, the F1s are always pricey, but they produce lots of all female flowers.
They do like it very warm and humid though and can easily be upset by a cold draught or a cold cloudy spell of weather.
Unless you have a warm greenhouse I dont think I would sow them just yet. [IMG]
