Growing F1 burpless cucumbers in grow bags ... plenty of growth, loads of cucumbers.
This year though all of the cucumbers are ending up with a bend in them ... curling ...
Plus have a number of surface blemishes - white lines down them ... almost like scars.

Taste is great though and no rot.

Also they seem to go 'limp' within 24 hrs of picking

Might it be worth leaving them on the vine to fatten up a bit more, see if that takes some of the bend out of them? And is it possible that the marks have come from condensation or water being on the surface of the fruit and then being scorched by the sun?

Those scars are caused by slugs grazing on the immature fruit. Time for a few pellets :dbgrtmb:

Not seen any slugs in greenhouse, wouldn't have thought this was the cause.
But it is something for sure.
Strange it is on all of them.

Well I can understand your chagrin, but frankly I'd be happy to have something as good as those from my garden this year :snork: . My cucumber plants look exactly as they did 3 months ago, about 6 inches tall and a bit miserable and probably heading for the compost pile shortly. Hope that makes you feel better.

It's the tiny little black slugs that cause this, they are very shy and only come out at night. You might see them first thing in the morning if you tip toe into the greenhouse, honest :dbgrtmb:
