Culloden Moor

My visit to Culloden Moor today.

The cairn was constructed by Duncan Forbes of Culloden in 1881.









Each one of the stone grave markers is engraved with a clan name.

@Sheal thanks for posting this. It brought back quite a few memories for me. I'm now patiently waiting for other attractions of the area...

PS.... I thought you were house-hunting, is that cottage within your price range ?

 

The moor was time out yesterday. I have to get back to house hunting but there will be more pictures at a later point.

I am but the brain needs time out now and again. The cottage and all that surrounds it is in the hands of the National Trust so no chance of buying it. To many ghosts as well.
