    Hi

I am recently dealing with a vast collection of Ruscus. Together with the well-known R. aculetaus, there are adult specimens of R. x microphyllum, R. hypoglossus, R. colchicum (all outdoor) and R. streptophillus (indoor).
I am based in East Anglia, Cambridge, very dry conditions and a rather alkaline soil.

I am looking for some practical advice or opinions on the cultivation of this intriguing genus.
All the species are from the Mediterranean countries (only the Butcher’s Broom being an English native), so I am wondering how they could be best cultivated and displayed in order to have good horticultural results in this country.

Please let me know what you think about it. The literature on this genus is so scarce!

    Thanks
    Giulio
