Curcuma House Plant

    Hi everyone, can anyone tell me how to look after a Curcuma house plant after it has flowered? dont know much about this plant, it was given to me as a present. :rolleyes:

    I'm not much help on this one rosegarden, I grew one a few years ago but couldn't get it to flower again.
    Not really sure but I got the impression that it needed a much longer growing season than I could give it. It also got much taller in the second year, and harder to accomadate.
    Think its in the ginger family.

    I found one in Wyevale for 50p. It was past it's best so I broke up the rootball and retrieved loads of round tubers which I repotted in a very gritty mix. Unfortunately when I was away my wife gave it a very thorough watering, and as I had covered the surface with clay balls I didn't notice for a couple of weeks when the two new shoots rotted off.

    We'll see what happens.
