I bought a bunch of tulips on Mothers' day evening (6 days ago now) reduced to £1. I think they are parrot tulips (?), they are certainly unusual. No sign of wilting/drooping/any other aging processes! Well worth the money!

Also thriving is the 50p bunch of pale daffodils, with peachy centres (sorry - I don't know my daffs!) Definitely a bargain find!

Anyone else have lovely cut flowers to show off?

Lovely pictures, they were definitly worth the price - I particularly like the pale daffs.

The tulips are interesting - not totally sure if I like them or not? But definitely a talking point, and their stayoing power is remarkable! I think in the right setting they'd look stunning - against a yellow background, maybe?

The daffs are very pretty! [IMG]

I like both the tulips and daffs. Lovely photos, JarBax. I've never had luck keeping tulips as cut flowers but my freesias go on forever.

Hehe! I feel the same about the tulips - not sure if I like them or not! We have some parrot type tulips in the garden (not yet though!), but they are very subtle. These ones are growing on me though!

I love the tulips, but the daffs are a bit "washed out" for me. I have a garden full of white daffodils and I hate them - however they do sometimes look nice on the west side of the garden in the evening.
