hi. I have put some cuttings in pots. I did what it said in a book and dipped each cutting in rooting powder, and put 3 of the cuttings around a quite large pot. When the cuttings have developed and matured do i need to separate all three into individual plants or not?

    thank you.

When taking cuttings, you are better of taking at least 10 to allow for failures. They can then be planted as a group, this allows you to plant several groups of different varieties or species in one pot.saving space and compost.:thumb:

Cant help thinking you,ve not chose the easiest of plants for taking cuttings VFM.

Also I dont think now is the best time of the year.
Semi ripe cuttings in august I find tend to root best, on most kinds of plants, shrubs especially.:)

i have noticed roots already!! No such thing as 'a bad time of year' experimentation gets you everywhere.

they seem to be working as some new growth has began!

I tend to do most of my cuttings in Autumn, round about September time. They all overwinter in the greenhouse just fine.
