Now that my spring container is at its end what would the best thing to do with it over the summer months? If I just let it die back and leave it in a corner of the garden will it start to regrow come autum?

I think it will regrow if you just leave it die back. The daffodills will regrow in the spring, I find the miniature ones come back nicely.
Or you could plant them in the garden.

        Welcome to the forum @Fhorchu

Some of those red cyclamen can be less hardier so they might need a sheltered spot. Have they been in that position when we had the recent heavy frosts?

If you have the space by all means leave them to grow until the foliage has died down - in perhaps another couple of months - but it's a good idea to give them some fertilizer till the leaves begin to turn yellow. That way, especially with your short growing season, they will built up energy to flower next year.

Cyclamen grow on the surface of the soil & should be kept a little damp during the summer otherwise they will just dry out & not regrow in the autumn.

You could also grow some annual plants on top of them. I have a balcony & have done that several times. The Daffodils won't mind though perhaps the Cyclamen won't like it so much. But you could take them out in a few weeks time & putt hem in smaller, individual pots until the annual flowers come to an end & then put them back in the big pots.

Might sound like a lot of work but at least you will be able to use the pots that are occupied now during the summer.

Thx JWK... the cyclamen have been in the same position on the patio since Nov also I hadn't realised that I planted daffodil bulbs in the same tub at an earlier time, cyclamen were purchased from Lidl back in October. I'll do as Balc suggested and lift corms and plant in separate pots until ready to replant in autumn....

Thx for your advice, seems like a good plan which
I am going to follow especially lifting the cyclamen corms and potting them in smaller pots, any advice on which fertilizer to use would be helpful...

A general fertilizer should be adequate.
